This was bizarre. I caught a regular old green anole outside today and brought it in the house. Just out of curiosity I held it up to my frilled's cage. To my surprize, he frilled all the way out, opened his mouth and started to do a kind of rotating motion with his head. Then he lunged at the poor little anole but not in the way he goes for food. It was an attack! Why such a violent reaction to a tiny little anole? My frillie has no reaction whatsoever to my Emerald. I can even hold them both in the same hand. But the anole would be doomed. Then my Emerald gets along fine with the anole. Strange.
