that seems very strange.
he's only 13.5 inches in total length??? If so, that is very small for a year old. That sounds more of the size of say a 4 month old maybe?
and the burrowing thing is also weird--does he have good mobility? is he on the ground because he's hurt maybe? Even brumating frillies do not burrow--they 'sleep' in the trees.
maybe give us some more info like cage size and set up. and what is your supplementation schedule like?
definitely confused on this one.

:WELL ITS BEEN A YEAR SO FAR SO GOOD. MY AUSTRAILIAN RED MALE IS DEFINATELY An AUSTRAILIAN RED AS WAS QUESTIONED IN THE PAST. IT SEEMS TO BE A MALE AND IS NOW 13.5".EVERYTHING IS GOOD. HE STILL HATES ME. HE HAS FRILLED TWICE SINCE I HAVE HAD HIM.THE ONLY THING WEIRD HE DOES NOW IS HE BURIES HIMSELF UNDER THE MOSS I HAVE IN ONE CORNER AND WILL STAY THERE FOR DAYS IF I DONT CHECK ON HIM.WHY?????DOES HE DO THIS??????? HE IS NICE AND FAT AND AN EATING MACHINE. I AM JUST WONDERING IF SOMETHING IN THE CAGE IS WRONG. THE TEMPS ARE 95-100 ONLY IN ONE SPOT OF THE TANK AND THAT IS RIGHT ABOVE HIS BRANCHES WHERE HE BASKS. SO IVE RULED OUT IT BEING TO HOT OR MAYBE I AM WRONG. IF ANYONE HAS ANY ADVICE PLEASE HELP ME.
