Collecting on Long Island NY

Hello,

I'm looking for info about collecting snakes/turtles on LI. I did it about 10 years ago with a reptile association here and had a little luck. We got some hognose and a few milks for the breeding program the Bronx Zoo was doing. The person who was talking us around knew where to go, I didn't take note of the locations. I would like to collect maybe some milks/hogs or spotted turtles if thats possible, not for sale, just for myself. Any info would be great, thanks:)
