:I was keeping babies in a rubbermaid with egg crate, damp tissue on a lid and heat pad but they would all die. Someone said they had success with putting moist soil witch I did and they are staying alive. My quetion is how do I keep it moist inside with drowning the crickets by spraying the water?
Check the temp you are getting from the heat pad, possibly too hot. I keep mine on top of my dragon enclosure where it is 30 degrees C. I use plenty of egg cartons and a bunch of cotton wool soaked with water for drinkin. Or you could makeup some water jelly using agar agar powder.
