I agree that if the smell was that bad they were not properly cared for. That is definately abuse and animal cruelty in my book. I clean their cages every couple of days, and sometimes every other day when they eat a lot. If I had time I would clean them every day. I treat my feeder mice as good as all my pets, it's a shame they get fed eventually but at least they have a good healthy life until they surve their purpose.


:If the smell was as bad as they described, something had to be wrong, in which case it's a good thing the authorities were introduced. If he had a legitimate breeding facility, there would not have been rodents piled up on the floor of a barn....

:If you're doing it correctly, as you mentioned, then it's ok. Some people are just nosey old hags who like to bother people who do anything they consider strange. But they didn't bother this man until the smell became ridiculously intolerable.
