I have two breeder setups with 6-f to 1-m and two grow out tubs. I have minimal smell issues in by home. I have found that spreading inexpensive clay cat litter (low dust) on the bottom of my tanks making sure to sprinkle a little more in each corner cuts down the mouse urine smell. For litter I usually purchase from a feed store a bag of wood shavings for horse stalls (not pine shavings) at a cost of 5.75 per bag. I clean weekly. The mice mix the cat litter and shavings up really well during the week. The litter is very absorbent.
