Qestion about CO2 tank

Okay I have my system set up and CO2 tank, but I've ran into a problem. I bought a 9oz paintball tank. On the top it has a little pin that needs to be pushed down for it to release gas. How do I get a around this? I've found some old post talking about presure regulators. will those push down the pin?
