what size colony for 50g rat breeder tubs?

I'm currently using them with 1.3 and its working ok. But I really want to ramp up production. I'm thinking of pushing it to 1.6 The pups will be killed off between 1-3 weeks. I'll also be using 50g rubber maids for grow out space, I figure one 50g is enough grow out space for at least 20 to grow to "medium" or 250g size.

Anyone else have any thoughts? These are the red and green christmas style 50g rubber maids.
