Thanks man, I grew quite attached to him in the few hours that I knew him. I bought his brother/sister today, so maybe they'll find each other!
I hope the other one is okay. I'm sure you're right, they know how to look after themselves quite well.

:The same thing happened to me - except it escaped out of a tiny crack I was unaware of. I had only had my corn 2 days!!! I felt really sad, but after reading the letters on this forum and speaking to experienced snake keepers I realised it happens to everyone. Almost everyone that keeps snakes has lost at least one. Carry on keeping an eye out for it, but don't dwell on it. Look on it as experience. It may come back it may not - mine hasn't yet. I'm sure with your next snake you won't make the same mistake. Use it as a learning curve - the snake will be ok, they are so resilient!!
