I am a kindergarten teacher and I presently have 2 water turtles, 2 Madagascar day geckos and 5 bearded dragons in my class. Last year my female laid eggs and I kept 3 of the babies when they hatched. The children were very excited about the event and were thrilled when I brought the babies in to show them. I had to keep a few of them and added them to our menagerie.
Unfortunately, I have to pay for the animals and the upkeep on them, but it's worth it. The children are really developing a love of animals. My next addition will be corn snakes.
