Corn snakes in general have a great disposition. But younger ones might very rarely get nippy. I think the best thing to do would be, keeping the snake in the classroom, and handling the snake frequently, and as you see the snake becoming more comfortable with you and its surroundings. I would gradually let the kids handle it, first by letting them touch it for a moment, and gradually letting them handle it as you teach them the proper technique. As I myslef have never been bitten, I can only say that they only have tiny little teeth and would cause a little shock, but nothing serious. Kids are very spacial and tend to catch on to the way something likes to be handled, I think it would be a great Idea to introduce one in the classroom.
