If you have a small wading pool available, you might want kids to compare kicking their bare feet in the pool, and kicking their feet with swim fins on, to demonstrate how effective webbed toes are. You might want to explain about how amphibs have to remain near water. You could wet kids' hands and time how long they last with their hands wet--that's how long they could stay out of the pond. You might also make a drink concoction of various gummy candies and call it Eye of Newt Soup or some such. You could also have a "Jumping Frog of Calveras County" (Mark Twain) read-along, and have a human jump competition. Hope this helps.
