As passedon froma buddy who is a big wig up here and deals with all the main companies.

Wipe entire bulb with pure vinegar, the threads, the bulb, the contact point. then hold with paper towel. apply Vasaline/petrolium jelly to the threads (not the contact point/bottom) and then screw in

It's cheap and it works.
