With all due respect to lipglosstar, just because the Dallas ACO, and most others for that matter, react only to complaints is NOT a good reason to persue a poorly advised course of action. If caught, and I admit to that that is probably a long shot, you simply complicate the possibility of EVER reaching any reasonable compremise with the authorities regarding the private ownership of reptiles, venomous or otherwise. It is far too easy for municipal entities to ban ALL ownership of ALL reptiles than it is to create a policy that ensures public health & wellful while guaranteeing that RESPONSIBLE hobbiest can persue their interests. Those that place themselves above the law only serve only to complicate ALL our lives (I myself live beyond any incorporated area... or now). In the words of Dennis Miller, "... but that's just my opinion, I could be wrong."
