I did contact David and he told me what forms I need. I have an officer from the USFWS that is helping me through the process. It helps if you have a degree in biology and are able to demonstrate your intentions effectively as to why you want to keep the animal. Although, the biology degree isn't necessary I can't see how it can hurt. So I'm not sure if I'll get turned down but so far things are looking good.

:You don't need but it helps to have proffesional references. David I know would be more than willing to tell you what you have to do. He has the numbers of the USFWS office you need to contact. I also believe you can obtain the forms on line at the USFWS page. It is a permit for "interstate transfer of an endangered species". There is a "captive bred wildlife permit" also but that is not needed so don't waste your time with that one. Have a lot of patience and expect to be turned down. Good luck, Tom
