'Brian, It's to bad that you are the type of tree hugger that rants on a forum frequented by people who give a care about crotes, captive bred and wild caught.'
I've notice that this forum hosts alot of enthusiasts and professionals. You, sir (tubedog), are obviously the former.

'Herpoculturists who deliberatly capture not poach wild animals do not desimate the ecology.'
How do you know? Have you earned any degrees in squamate ecology? Also, what distinguishes poaching from 'capturing'-a global and/or state ranking. Just because a snake is not either labeled as being threatened or endangered does not mean that removal of individuals from wild populations has no effect on that populations' reproductive viability.

'In fact, we often help create an awareness for people who overlook and fear snakes.'
This may be true, but if enthusiasts weren't on the rise, there would be no legislative actions against keeping venomous reptiles.

'And at the same time satisfy our lust for adventure, education, and success.'
This 'lust' can be satisfied w/out collecting wild snakes. True, this interest would not be possible w/out collection of wild snakes at one time or another, but a line needs to be drawn somewhere.

'Should'nt you be at the anti war rally right now.'
This comment was totally uncalled for.
