I prefer hooks, however, sometimes when catching a wild snake, such as an atrox, tongs come in handy!
I use and prefer Pilltroms, just a personal preference.
I have Whitney and Mid West tongs, but like Pillstroms better. NOT to start another topic! lol!

::For the usual crotalids around here (So.CA) I prefer the hook. Though I'll admit a squirelly atrox can be a bit of trouble.
