So, did ya think most of us would sit still and read this whole post?

To be honest, I wanted to shorten it, but I had so many good movie references/paraphrases/quotes in it that I couldn't trim anything. I think I had at least Blazing Saddles, Home Alone, Star Trek, Breakfast Club...

I know there were even more, but there's no way I'm going back through all of that to find them... I mean really, have you seen the size of that post?!?! ;-)

That was UNTIL....I stopped to think about WHY I felt that way.

I used to look down my nose at the "freakish" goldfish, with multifins and bugeyes, in petshops. My feeling was "throw those in a pond with other wild fish and they'd never survive."

It was a long time later when I realized, "duh, they are domestic fish." :)

I still think they're ugly as sin, though. ;-)
