I agree that it is the buyers responsibility as well as the breeders. So please educate your customers, breeders. It's just that as these hybrids filter down to pet shop employees (who are very many of the immensely stupid people I refer to here in Boise ID) They lose the secrets of their origin and become just a Jungle Corn.
"What's a jungle corn?" asks the new snake keeper.
"Dunno, just a cool corn I guess." answers the 17 year-old employee who loves rabbits and hates snakes.
The scenario just disturbs me. I also know a couple of people who think it's cool to put African Cichlids into Bruneau Hot Springs, just because they live through the winter, those are the people I am afraid of.
