My collection of snakes is growing. I have been looking at ready made rack systems. Some simply done and others quite expensively done. I'm wondering about just using a large wire/metal book shelf with plastic boxes w/lids/drilled holes and plain old simple electric heating pads. About $10 at Walmart and one would service two boxes. Might not be as appealing in appearance but I think it would be quite functionable for housing several snakes. Anyone use anything similar? I am keeping a couple babies in this manner now and it is working well with them. I don't have the tools, know-how, or time to make one myself. I would have to contract with someone to build. Is there a simplier way? Any suggestions for inexpensively keeping several snakes? Thanks.
