what type of enclosure is he in??
I ask because when I kept my male in a screen cage, he had some funky scales like that too. Rhight after shedding, and right as breeding season overtook his brain! lol He crawled all over the place, and I thought maybe it was the screen cage messing up his scales. He's been in a glass 20g long now for a few months and two sheds and he looks much better, no more sticking up scale bits.
:after his last shed which was a bad one ,, he has some scales sticking up,,they look like old skin,,but theyre not from the shed,, ,,, he has some rought scales and his belly is rough ,,when i handle him ,its like his belly is sharp,,cause the scales go up and down if you know what i mean
:anyway,,,, anyone knows what this means,,,, i tend to overfeed him sometimes,,,could it be that he has to lose some weight or something
