Hecate and Diablo bred for their second time tonight. And as I'm getting everything ready for, hopefully eggs, I am stumped by the choice of incubation mediums.
I have a bag of Perlite already. But I see everyone else using either vermiculite or sphagnum moss. Both of which I can't seem to find in my area. I can get sphagnum moss with fertilizer added, which I didn't think would be an appropriate thing.
The questions I'm faced with, are:
1. How should I construct an egg incubation container with Perlite? (How much water, how much perlite, how deep the eggs, etc)
2. Are there any disadvantages to using Perlite?
3. Anyone know of a place online that sells sphagnum moss or vermiculite?
Thanks!
Misty
