White stuff around the nostrils ?

Both my male and female collareds seem to have some white flakey stuff around their nostrils. The nostrils look completely blocked, but they are not breathing through their mouths (as far as I can tell).

Any idea what this gunk is, why it is there and should I be worried about it ?
