Howdy.I spoke to Dr.Jarchow.He said the chuck that had the herpes
came from a zoo and that they sent tissue samples to Florida to verify.He said it would take sometime before they got the results back.He wanted to know if your chuck had been dead for awhile(bloated)or stinking.A tissue sample from it would probably be no good.
He remembered speaking to you and he recommended you send the chuck to the University of Michigan,Lansing for a possible necropsy they have an excellant facility I was told.
I guess the chuck that died at the zoo had been there for quite awhile and possibly picked the virus up from another animal.Speculation at this point.I guess the call is yours at this point as to what to do.Let me know the out come.I am at work
