These were laid last spring. She laid them under a huge rock that was resting
on this piece of wood that I jigsawed out. Notice how she scraped away all sand even in the corners.
I was looking at my notes today and I noticed that all 3 of the 5 eggs that hatched in the first
week of June (only1 baby survived). But that same week is when the parents went underground
to brumate/estivate and they are still under. Nature at work looking out for the overall survival
of the species enabling the juviniles less competition . it even happened under my semi natural conditions.
