Young veileds are solid green although can show their patterning when they get upset or stressed. They only constantly show their patterns when they are about 6-8 months old.
Hope this sheds some light!
Julie, Justin and Frasier the Chameleon. :-)
:ok this may ssound stupid but, my question is that in all the pictures you see of veiled chams they are like a green with yellow side splotches but every pet store in colo has veileds that are solid green with no variation in skin color what does this mean? could the altitude or low humidity of colorado cause this? please help me i am hesitant to buy chameleons if they are not the color most breeders post so thx in advance.
