I can't imagine handling Ramses, our aggressive male veiled that we adopted, - whew, does he seem to hate us (except when we have food of course!) I guess I would reccomend starting with a nice heavy pair of work gloves - that way when you reach in you will be more calm and confident - I'm sure being nervous and jittery would stress him out even more. Get him out, keep him out for just as long as you need to, and then let him be. My 2 cents.
