This sounds like, well, a pretty normal male veiled if this started when he was about 6 months old. Nothing is really wrong probably. Chams are individuals certainly, but NONE tolerate much handling. A cham may not bite to show it's stress but might just sicken and die instead. Either way you won't end up with the pet you probably wanted. If you really want a herp that tolerates handling you should choose a different type of lizard...and enjoy your veiled for the show he puts on visually. I often think the main reason cham keepers have other pets is so they can get some appreciation and affection from them...because the chams won't show it LOL!
