You know what, I really have not had too many problems with them, considering how long it had been since I actually had a chameleon. I had some calcium/D3 problems with my male and my male veild. I DO NOT think miner-all is a bad product, but I DO think I bought an old can of it. When I got a new tub of rep-cal, all the weakness went away. I got half-a$$ed and built his cage out of hardware cloth, and I paid $70 for a vet visit, and antiseptic cream and soak(foot damage on the wire). All of these problems could have been prevented if I had been careful. I have taken them for granted, simply BECAUSE they were so problem free to raise!
To top it off, most of the info I was using was conflicting. I treated him like a montane chameleon, and he got hypovitaminosis. Turns out, they aint so sensative to vitamins like the othe rcool temp ones.....
they're weird, but actually, they are the eaisest montaine species to work with.
