:Mine is outside,so I tend to overdo water,as I direct it so he has a choice as to when he wants to use it. I start the drip within easy reach of his basking spot(natural sun in this case),onto plant arangement where it can trickle down into garden.Just easy this way for me and i don't have to worry.I have no idea what minimum water needs are,but I also would error to much versus to little in this case.

:::problem is the dripping water just beads up on the mesh wire of the cage and doesn't drip into the cage. what is the trick to get it into the cage? do i need to spread the mesh out a bit to get the water into the cage and onto the plant?
