If you love chams than it is DEFINATELY worth it. I got my first this Feb. She is a panther. I have put a lot of work into looking after her, but she is worth it! It's like having a child. I am definately hooked. So, to answer your question, your reward is the experience of keeping a cham. there is nothing else like it. At least, nothing that I have yet encountered. They are very fascinating creatures.
Once you have the housing all right, the rest is a breeze, if you enjoy spending your time on animals. Feeding, misting, and cleaning the cages can be a pain for some I guess, but for me they are great reasons (if not excuses) to spend some time with my baby. :)
