I'm about to purchase a male Jackson. I already built the cage, its 3H X 2L X 2D. The sides are screen, the back is wood, and there is a screen door about 2/3 of the front. It has a all wood frame. I have two 8 1/2in. domes on top, and a ESU "super UV daylight" flourescent mounted on the inside top. Is this setup OK? What bulb wattage should I use to keep it at desired temp? What are the best plants to use for this species? Do I need a night heat lamp? Because I read that Jacksons need a nighttime temp. of 55-65. Is this true?
Please give me feedback.
