I love the sound of my crix. It actually helps me to sleep. I find it drowns out all of the odd noises in my house (cars passing, creaking, etc).
If you can still hear them, and it is bugging you, here is something you can try: close your eyes and picture a field or forest. The sound will not seem as annoying that way, and it can actually become quite relaxing, once you get used to it. I feel wierd sleeping in a house without crickets now! lol
