Hi- This sounds like salt and mineral deposits, that are secreted out from the nose. This is caused by your water source, you have either very hard water, or you have a water softener, that puts salt in to the water. I had this problem when I would use water from my built in water filter on the frig. I now use RO/DI water aka bottled water and don't have this problem anymore. Hope this helps!

:My young veil seems to have a deposit (pinhead size) by his nostrals. They do not seem to be anything of concern although he has seems a bit more listless the past couple of days than the other chameleons I keep. I feed a variety of foods and dust and maintain the correct lighting (per other posts. Anyone with ideas? Thanks in advance. Wally
