There's very little we can guess about what the spot might be, but Silvadene is generally used to control infections. It was originally developed to treat skin burns on Vietnam GIs. It fights secondary infection, protects, promotes healing, etc. Silvadene may have no effect on a fungus though so if you see this spot getting any larger you'll need to get back to the vet for a biopsy at least. Some skin diseases on chams can progress pretty fast and result in systemic infections, but again, hard to know without the biopsy. I guess I would try the Silvadene for the week, check to make sure nothing in the cage changed such as a new hotter basking bulb or nothing in diet changed, and then follow up with the vet.
