Humidity consistency

I have a large screen cage 24x24x48 with a hibiscus about 2 ft tall and a smaller pothos. The humidity level towards the lower half of the cage is about 70% and the upper half is about 50%. (before misting). Does the humidity need to be consistent through the whole cage?
