they may work for a year but only are effective for about six months.

:I don't know if this will be helpful but, I thought you could give it a try. I went out and bought my guy a Active UVB Heat bulb by T-Rex there expensive but they last a year. This increased his appitite. Then I removed the red heat light and replaced it with a white - 100 watt halogen flood light. His appitite has sky rocketed and he will hunt on his own. I think that the red light changes the colour of the food to the point that it is harder for them to idnetify. He has also taken to eating plants and veggies.
