PLEASE HELP ME ! Should i splint Broken Arm myself?

I have a veiled cham and when i returned home yesterday he was limping around his cage , his litlle arm looks broken right above the knee or elbow i guess it has a lump there and he cant support his weight on it. someone previously replied to a similar question suggesting to splint it yourself is this possible? Or even a good idea?? Thankyou so much to anyone that can help me.
