If she is eggbound she will crouch somewhere pretty immobile, look stressed, sunken or closed eyed, will not eat or drink, and look very ill. She will probably cut back on eating right before she's ready to lay but not always. If you start seeing her spend time on the cage bottom scratching at the soil she's ready.
