How Long?

I always thought I would only own short Pythons, like Bloods Balls and Macklots. Until I got my adult Carpet. They say they can get 10 feet sometimes but shes not that long at all. They say Burns will get 17...but Im asking you what is the average length? I wouldnt mind to get a Burm as a pet, but if they really get as big as they say..then I would have to pass up. Thanks for all the info in advance.
