You might consider getting rid of the aspen and getting newspaper. I've heard, that sometimes the aspen bedding will iritate snakes' lungs and things like that, and sometimes you can get bugs with it. I never really have liked it anyways.. too hard to clean up, newspaper is much easier to use. (and cheaper)
