Snakes go through a cycle prior to shedding. They start off at their lightest and brightest right after the shed. Then the colors fade a little and they go to there normal coloration. A bit before sheding you will notice darkening, muddying, and dryness of the skin. After this they go into "blue, where the belly, and eyes become opaque. After a few days in blue, the colors fade and the snake will appear almost normal. A day or two later the shed will occur and the cycle starts over.
The eyes becoming uncloaded is not sheding of the eye caps, just the milkyness going away.
Hope This Helps!
