:Are you saying that most people get into snakes because they like to see them eat live prey? If that's what you are saying, I suspect you are wrong. Anyway...If YOU prefer live, fine. BUT...There are lots of reasons to feed f/t, and few, if any, to feed live (unless that's why you are into snakes, of course!).
Live food can injure your snake. Not live pinks, of course, but as your snake's needs increase the prey animals become more dangerous to your snake. Also, freezing kills potential paratites. The only reason to regularly feed live (again, unless you're just INTO it!), is if your animal just plain will not accept prekilled food. Even then, most can be weaned onto f/t. I will admit, however, that some snakes do seem to prefer live, and if you are trying to "power feed" them to rush them to a large breeding size, live may be more effective. Short and simple: prekilled is safer for your pet. If that fact is not your primary interest or concern, then by all means stick with what brought you to the hobby in the first place! Good luck either way. Duffy
:That's why most people get into snakes to begin with. Branches are good too.
