For the past 2 years I have owned a female ornate box turtle who is about 13 years old (according to vet). She's great. Now she is living in a 5' by 5' enlcosure in our backyard in Northern Florida. She gets both sun and shade, has a small pool and a hide box. Every few days I let her walk around the back yard supervised for a half hour or so to let her roam a little more. My question, which may be silly, is: is there anything that box turtles like in the realm of entertainment? Are there any objects or materials that I should put in her pen that she would enjoy crawling on, playing with, digging into? Just want to make her as happy as possible and wanted suggestions in case I'm leaving anything out.
