That's a beautiful box turtle! I understand your objection to the "high yellow" terminology, but he wasn't advertising it as such, just doing his best to describe him since he didn't have a picture immediately available. I will definitely proceed with caution, though, and steer clear of the guy selling hatchlings for $100. I actually contacted Massachusetts Turtle Rescue when I was first looking around for box turtles, but the message I got was more or less that they dealt with "problem" turtles that they feel need more experienced keepers. Thanks for the advice, though!
