need some advice

i am going to get a boa i need to know if i should buy a very small only a few months old boa or mayb one thats already 3 feet or so.should i get a colombian a argentina or a durmarils its going to be a pet and handled alot every year i take my snakes to school and edjucate my class about them.i had a boa beforand i bought it at 5 and 1/2 feet it was great for a few weeks then it stopped eating and every time it didnt get its way it would try to bite it only got me once(in the face).if you think there is a different type of boa let me know ure opinion.
