hey so using a tub would be fine as long as it has some het and you should be fine
as for the 100 gallong that would be cool and all but you dont have to put it inot such a big tank espactly since it is a yearling, anothiing thing is that i would sudsect putting it into a 3 by 2 or 4 by 2 wood cage because wood is going to be much easyer to heat, and then last for the substate what i would do is use screan pine or aspine i like screan pine better and then have a moss box for the snake witch is a rubber maid that you keep humid with moss and this way you can keep the cage dry without dehidrating you snake
