I think that crickets need more air circulation than just small holes in a Rubbermaid vat. Most pet shops keep them in aquariums with screen tops. Are your escapees climbing up the silicon bead in the corners of your terrarium? I had some new-hatched crickets to that, but I stopped them by applying a layer of Vaseline in the corners, about a 2" strip of it along the silicon. Worked great. Or, is the top fitting loose? How big are the crickets in this terrarium? I can't imagine any but the smallest new-hatched crickets coming out of a mesh screen top on a tank.
Try the Vaseline trick if the silicon is their escape route.
