i went out and bought a new cover for my tank but the crickets are still escaping. what should i do about this? and also, my crickets have been dying off at an incredibly fast rate. I have them in a big plastic rubbermaid container with small holes in the top, plenty of carrots and potatoes for them to eat. is there anything i can do to keep them alive for longer?

get it for a reasonable price through the mail, like www.thatpetplace.com. Make sure you give the critters a very good quality UVB light like a Reptisun 5.0, plenty of climbing vines and branches, mist them a couple times/day, and gut-load their crickets. Sprinkle the crickets with a good calcium powder supplement every other feeding.
