well, an uromastyx is really not a beginner lizard. make sure all the temps and everything are 100%. is she wild caught? if so, go to a vet to check her for parasites etc...

these lizzies stress very easily so don't bother her too much in the beginning. many lizards don't eat a while when they are in a new enviroment, so don't worry.
I don't know much about uromastyx but a friend of mine has them(malis) and his first 2 died. but his new ones are doing fine(cb's)

I suggest you start reading for a while :) (hopefully you have done that already)

and letting a uromastyx crawling over you head? NONONO! if you want something you can hold-> a bearded dragon! NO URO.
